Finally, I'm starting this project. Since I've been trying out all these new recipes, I might as well take some pictures of the results.
If you couldn't tell from the picture, this recipe is from Chocolate and Zucchini. I didn't want to use the oven last night (apartment still way too hot), so I decided to do the curried turkey sandwich.
The recipe was fairly straightforward. Add some boiling hot water to some raisins to plump them up. Pound some turkey cutlets thin, season them and pan fry them. While the turkey is cooking, mix together yogurt, curry powder, salt pepper, lemon juice, cheese, etc. When the turkey is finished, tear it into little pieces, add it to the yogurt-cheese mixture above. Drain raisins and add as well. Then put on a baguette with some salad greens and enjoy.
The sandwich was delicious, but I'm not sure if it tastes exactly as intended because I used too much lemon juice. It also needed some crunch. Maybe I'll add some almonds next time. What I like about the recipes in Chocolate and Zucchini is all the substitutions the authors suggests for the ingredients. You could substitute pineapple for the raisins, for example.
